Pressure vessel quality steel plates has a consistent grain structure, which enables it to withstand high pressure applications and excellent notch toughness. It is generally used in moderate to low temperature applications, though steel for high temperature tanks or pressure vessels is also available.

The selection of the steel grades offered under this category are mainly used in Petrochemical, oil and gas industries.

HIC tested, ASME and PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) certified steel plate standards are available for the design, fabrication, installation, and use of pressure equipment.
